Contemplative Outreach Northern Nevada
Photos from Our Retreats at Lake Tahoe
Fr. Thomas Keating recommends an annual retreat to help grow our faith. We hold two retreats annually, six days in the Fall and a Lenten weekend away from the business and activity of everyday life. In these retreats, we create a contemplative community grounded in silence through several periods of Centering Prayer. There is time for rest, reflection, and getting in touch with the beauty of the pines and Lake Tahoe. These photos are from past retreats in the fall at Galilee Episcopal Camp and Retreat Center and during Lent at the Zephyr Point Presbyterian Conference Center.
For current information about retreats, please contact anyone listed in the "contact us" page.

His holy temples / We have left the burnt behind -- / Gold from the ashes. | Washing of the feet / While gathered around the fire, / Love and joy abide. | Standing on the rocks / Wintergray storm approaching / I beseech my God. |

Body blocking the snow
As flakes drift in to the lake,
I affect my world.
Watching the snow fall,
Only sound -- footsteps on wood.
The Spirit resides.
Small flakes, drifting white
Against gray forever sky --
Spirit resides in snow.
